Students exchange prog at KROS College

As part of students exchange programme, KROS College hosted four students and a faculty from Sophia College, Mumbai from February 6 to 10. The programme was initiated in a collaboration with Dr K&T Keditsu foundation, with an aim to explore the culture, ideas, and thoughts between the two Colleges.

Eight girls from Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, participated in the ‘Solidarity Students’ Exchange Programme’ (SSEP) with Sophia College for Women, Mumbai University, Maharashtra, from September 8 to 15. During the programme, they interacted with the faculty and students of the partner college and attend classes in the chemistry, microbiology, zoology and life sciences laboratories.

A free medical camp organized by the Dr. K&T Keditsu Foundation was held in Phek District Hospital on November 26 and 27. This medical camp is part of the state-wide campaign initiated by the Governor of Nagaland, Padmanabha Acharya through his brainchild, the Indian National Fellowship Centre, Mumbai and coordinated by the Government of Nagaland. The medical team comprised of Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu, Dr. Azo Louis, Dr. Alemwapang, Dr. Thejavinuo Keditsu Kire, Dr. Keneisenuo Kire and Dr. Toshevi Sema Keditsu.

Mega medical camps in Nagaland by Rotary Club Mumbai

Under the inspiration of governor of Nagaland P.B. Acharya and initiative from Indian National Fellowship Centre (INFC), Rotary Club of Bombay North under leadership of Dr. Palep has been conducting simultaneous medical camps at five districts of Nagaland with a team of 32 doctors. The districts being covered are Mon, Kohima, Peren, Dimapur and Wokha. Different specialists have been seeing patients and performing surgeries and distributing free medicines. On day one, average 150 patients were examined and treated at each centre.

Kohima, November 25 : Eight Sümi women who secured MBBS seats in government colleges in 2018 were honoured at the 1st Annual Dr Toshevi Sümi Totimi MBBS Award held on November 24 at Hotel De Oriental Grand, Kohima. Dr. Toshevi Sümi Totimi MBBS Award is an initiative of Dr Toshevi Keditsu Sema and is officiated by Dr K and T Keditsu Foundation in collaboration with Sümi Totimi Hoho, Nagaland, a press release here stated. Dr Toshevi Keditsu Sema completed her MBBS from Gauhati Medical College in 1977 becoming the first woman doctor among the Sümi tribe.
