Our mission is to serve the rural and underprivileged areas of Northeast India, particularly the state of Nagaland, leading towards the overall development and progress of Naga society. Our motto “Progress through Perseverance” upholds our mission.

Lifeline Fund

Lifeline Fund was started in 2021 with the aim to provide help to those undergoing treatment for various ailments, in order to ensure completion of treatment and improve their quality of life. Medical treatment brings overwhelming financial burden and emotional stress to the patient as well as their caregivers. Lifeline Fund is here to supplement their financial needs during this period of crisis, where funds run short without notice.

Through this fund, a patient can avail a financial aid of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only). The application form is available at the office of Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, Putuonuo Nursing Home, New Market Road, Kohima, Nagaland. The form is to be filled up by the treating doctor and countersigned by the medical superintendent of the hospital or institution. The patient or relative will have to submit this form along with a photocopy of identity proof to the office.

Those residing outside Kohima may download the application form here, and send the filled out form along with identity proof through
WhatsApp or email.

Financial aid will be directly transferred to the bank account of the respective hospital within 48 working hours of receipt of application, only after proper verification of patient and hospital information. Patient will be contacted once the fund has been transferred to the hospital account. An individual is permitted to apply for this fund ONLY once.

Those undergoing treatment outside the state of Nagaland are NOT eligible to apply for the Lifeline Fund.

The WH.O.LE. Project

THE WH.O.LE. PROJECT

Women's Health. Oncology. Lifestyle Endeavour Project

The WH.O.LE Project was launched in March 2017. The objective of this project is to educate women about basic health and hygiene, warning signs of women-related diseases specifically cancer, to sensitise women to various family planning methods and to promote a health seeking behavior. The Project also includes free cancer screening for two of the most common cancers in women – Breast and Cervical Cancer.

Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation has collaborated in the past with various local organisations such as Sisterhood Network Nagaland, 3(NH) BN Assam Rifles Kohima, and Akehda Sangtamlarü Thsingmüjang [AST] Kohima Unit to educate women in line with the objectives of the WH.O.LE Project. We seek to reach out to as many women as possible and invite likeminded organisations particularly women’s organisations to contact us to achieve our mission.

165 Women from Phom community attend the WH.O.LE Project’s Health & Cancer Awareness Programme

A women’s health & cancer awareness programme was conducted on the 28th of May, 2022 at Phom Baptist Church, Kohima by Dr K&T Keditsu Foundation in collaboration with the Phom Baptist Church Women’s cell.

Resource persons from Dr K&T Keditsu Foundation, Dr Thejavinuo Keditsu (MD Obstetrics & Gynaecology) spoke about common women related health issues and encouraged health seeking behaviour. Dr Keduovinuo Keditsu (MS MCh Surgical oncology) discussed about women related cancers, warning signs of cancer and their prevention. The talk was followed by an interactive session. 165 women attended the programme, which was coordinated & chaired by Associate Pastor for Women, Mrs Chenlen Phom.

WH.O.LE Project with Kohima Sumi Women - HUNDREDS SCREENED FOR BREAST & CERVICAL CANCER IN KOHIMA

A Health Awareness cum Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Camp was held on 23rd July 2022 at Mount Olive College, Kohima. Over 330 women attended the camp and underwent free cervical cancer screening with pap smear and HPV DNA testing (courtesy Team from Putuonuo Nursing Home, Kohima and Team from Healthcare Laboratory and Research Centre, Kohima), free clinical breast examination, free ultrasound scans and free breast scan with Braster Pro. Forty volunteers from Kohima Sümi Totimi Hoho, 45 medical personnel & support staff from PNH and HLRC participated in the camp, with distinguished contributions from senior gynaecologist Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu, Managing Trustee Dr. K&T Foundation, Dr. Toshevi Sema Keditsu (MBBS), and Chief Pathologist HLRC, Dr. V Khamo (MD).

A comprehensive educational session was conducted prior to the camp with lectures on ‘Common Gynaecological Problems and Menopause’ by Dr. Thejavinuo K. Keditsu (MD ObGyn), ‘Cancers in Women’ by Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu (MS MRCS MCh), ‘Lifestyle Modifications & Awareness on Diabetes & Hypertension’ by Dr. Keneilhoulie Medom (MD), and ‘Understanding Mental Health’ by Clinical Psychologist Mrs. Themmungla Raman Longkumer. This was followed by an interactive session with the attendees. The programme was chaired by Mrs. Kavitoli Jakhalu (Vice-president KSTH), recorded by Mrs. Vetoli Chophy (Astt Gen Sec KSTH), invocation prayer by Mrs. Aghali Sheqi (Assoc. Pastor Youth, Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church Kohima), welcome address by Mrs. Piholi Swunetho (President, KSTH), and vote of thanks by Mrs. Ghovili Achumi (Advisor, KSTH).

This camp was organized by the Kohima Sümi Totimi Hoho and Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, under their initiative, the Women’s Health Oncology Lifestyle Endeavour (WH.O.LE) Project, sponsored by Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, in partnership with Healthcare Laboratory and Research Center, Kohima, and Maxcare Diagnostic Centre, Kohima. This is the first time such a women centric camp has been held amongst the Sumi community, and was met with overwhelming attendance and outpouring of gratitude.

Medical Camp in Saijang Village, Peren District

A free medical camp and cervical cancer screening was held on 22nd February 2020 in Saijang village, Peren District. Over 600 patients (300 women, 220 men and 80 children) attended the camp; 60 ultrasound scans, 48 dental procedures, 70 Pap smears, Diabetes & HIV screening, 40 procedures including minor surgeries and family planning (lap ligation and copper-T insertion) was done. Eight doctors, 10 nurses, 2 OT technicians, 1 laboratory technician, 3 pharmacists, and more than 30 volunteers rendered their services. The medical doctors were Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu (DGO, OBGYN), Dr. Toshevi Sema Keditsu (MBBS, Managing Trustee Dr. K &T Foundation), Dr. Neilakuo Kire (MS Ortho, Spine surgeon) Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu (MS, MRCS, MCh Cancer surgery), Dr. Thejavinuo Keditsu (MD OBGYN), Dr. Keluosenuo Linyu (MD OBGYN), Dr. Thejawelie Chielie (BDS, Dental Surgeon), and Dr. Theruovizo Linyu (MBBS).

This camp was organized by the Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation in collaboration with the Saijang Village Council under the able leadership of Mr. Lamhen Thomsong (Head GB Saijang village & President of Kuki GB union Ahthibung sub-division), Mr. Seihen Sitlhou (Council Chairman Saijang village), Mr. Seijalam Hangsing (Secretary Custom & Culture KIN), and Mr. IC Zeliang. It was co-sponsored by Mr. KC Angami (Class I contractor) and Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, a registered public charitable trust in Nagaland with a mission to serve the rural and underprivileged areas of Northeast India. One of the main objectives of the foundation is medical aid. This is the first time in the history of Saijang village that such a camp has been held, and was met with overwhelming attendance and outpouring of gratitude. Eighty percent of attendees were from the Athibung circle, Peren district (56% Saijang, 6% Athibung, and 18% from other villages such as Phaijol, Old & New Chalkot, Phanjang, New Beisumpui, Lilen & Lilen B, Bunkolong, Songlhuh, Pellhang, New Chamcha, and Inbung), 10% from Jalukie circle (Jalukie, Samzuiram and Kezanglwa), and 10% from Peren, Khelma, Songpu, Narmi, and Moitang.

This camp would not have been possible without the financial and moral support of our chief co-sponsor Mr. KC Angami, and support of CMO Peren, Mobile ICTC Peren District, Dr. V Khamo (Pathology Dept. NHAK), doctors, medical personel, volunteers, Government Middle School, Saijang, Centre Point Hotel, Jalukie and S.P. Printers, Dimapur.

The Free Clinic

The purpose of “The Free Clinic” is to provide free medical services to economically disadvantaged sections of our society. This includes free medical consultations, free medical health check up for common ailments such as high blood pressure, diabetes, women related problems, and cancer screening for breast and cervical cancer. It also includes a limited range of medical testing such as ultrasonography, chest x ray, electrocardiography, few blood tests, pap smear, free prescription drugs, basic first aid procedures, and free surgery (minor and major procedures) in selective patients. All individuals registered under the free clinic can continue to avail the services.

Health camp in 7 districts, namely Kohima, Dimapur, Wokha, Peren, Mon, Mokokchung and Phek, motivated by Indian National Fellowship Centre, Mumbai, conducted in collaboration with Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation, Nagaland, Rotary Club Bombay North, Friends of Nagaland, Cancer patients Aids Association of India, and Indian Academy of Echocardiography.

Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation organized the health camp at District Hospital, Phek with a team of 17 members (10 doctors and 7 supportive personals: 175 patients registered for treatment, 9 major surgeries (6 laparoscopic appendectomy, 1 total abdominal hysterectomy, 1 myomectomy, 1 laparoscopic cholecystectomy), 7 laparoscopic ligations (permanent family planning), 4 copper T insertions, Cervical cancer screening: 18 pap smears, 30 ultrasound scans, 30 tooth extractions.

Free medical camp conducted by Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation in collaboration with Sisterhood Network. Two lectures were delivered to a group of 100 women and children: Cervical cancer screening and detection by Dr. Thejavinuo Keditsu, and Breast Cancer screening and detection by Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu. Seventy two women underwent clinical breast examination, out of which 54 women also underwent cervical cancer screening with Pap smear. All women received free general examination and free medicines.
