Indian National Fellowship Centre (INFC)
Indian National Fellowship Centre (INFC) was founded in 1979 by four young men with deep concern and curiosity for the North-Eastern states. The objective was to strengthen brotherhood/fellowship and Nationalism in North East and their strategic border areas having branches in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Meghalaya. After being very active till mid 1980s, there was a slump in the working of INFC. In 2014, one of the founding members of INFC became the Governor of Nagaland, HE Shri P B Acharya. After his taking over the post, INFC sprung back into action of implementing and executing his people driven initiatives. Since then INFC has organised 6 medical in different districts of Nagaland, conducted cultural exchange programs for college students in Nagaland and Mizoram, undertaken school infrastructure development projects in Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. INFC has also facilitated supporting free higher education of students from Arunachal Pradesh with its partner colleges in Karnataka. In order to promote the culture of North Eastern states INFC has facilitated starting of certificate courses in various dialects from region in various Universities of Western and Southern India. INFC’s current focus is to work on community development and skill building projects in addition to education and healthcare in the states of Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
Entrepreneurs Associates [EA]
Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) is an organisation working in the volatile North Eastern Region of India, dedicated to enhance the lives of people. Established in 2000, the organization mediates through passionate commitment to nurture the entrepreneurial aspirations of individuals and communities. It envisions dignity of living for all by increasing their efficiency and productivity through initiatives that draw out their potential, utilise resources that are within their reach and empowering them to seek their own advancement, wherever placed. For nearly two decades, the organisation has been stirring societal mind-sets through advocacy, imparting trainings, and providing finance even to those considered technically un-bankable. Following key strategies of motivating, training, and mentorship, EA aspires to create meaningful impact. The innovative and pioneering work of EA has been globally recognised as a replicable and sustainable model and has been awarded by the Schwab foundation, Sister organization of the World Economic Forum as well as the Washington based Ashoka Foundation: Innovators for the Public.
Entrepreneurs Associates strives to facilitate economic development to usher in social equity and harmony by increasing local participation in the North East Region, which is still evolving from the traditional barter economy. EA mentors and trains young and old alike to take up entrepreneurship as a viable career option; supports individuals who are looking for opportunities to grow and expand while also identifying new and innovative entrepreneurship choices.
