Dr. Toshevi Sema
The first lady doctor from among the Sumi tribe of Nagaland, Dr. Toshevi has served under the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland for 34 years and retired as Director H & FW, and Mission Director of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). She is a strong advocate of gender equality and believes that women must excel in every aspect of their lives through sincerity and dedication. She patronizes female children of less fortunate backgrounds in her attempt to eradicate illiteracy amongst the female population. She also seeks to work for sanitation and environmental preservation.
Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu
One of the senior gynecologists in Nagaland, Dr. Kezevituo is the proprietor of Putuonuo Nursing Home, Kohima. He is a pioneer in laparoscopic surgery in Nagaland. Apart from providing free health care to many within his own establishment, he has also conducted numerous free medical camps all over the state. He believes that every human being is entitled to basic needs such as clean drinking water and sanitary latrines; hence he has worked tirelessly to provide such amenities to villages in Nagaland. He is also actively involved in bringing about development in rural areas of Nagaland through microfinance projects.
Dr. Theyiesinuo Keditsu
Dr. Theyiesinuo Keditsu is a feminist poet, folklorist, writer, lyricist and educator. She is co-founder of Centre for Indigenous Knowledge & Alternative Learning (CIKAL) and advocates the revival of Indigenous Naga textiles and women’s narratives through her popular Instagram avatar @mekhalamama. She has published two books of poetry, Sopfünuo and Wake under the pen name T. Keditsu and has contributed to a number of anthologies & journals in academic and literary capacities. Her poem, “Whore” was translated into Gujarati by Sitanshu Yashaschandra. She has a PhD in Cultural Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Her research focuses in contemporary Naga culture, indigenous knowledge, indigenous feminisms, oral & written literatures of Nagaland. She is widely sought after as a motivational speaker and compére and conducts trainings in diction, communication, performance and creative writing. With over 15 years of teaching, she has taught in Sazolie College, Jotsoma and Hindu College, Delhi University. She is currently an assistant professor in Kohima College, Kohima.
Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu
An alumnus of Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) Delhi, with a Masters in Surgery (MAMC, Delhi) and Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) Mumbai, Keduovinuo is currently practicing as a cancer surgeon in Kohima, Nagaland. She is a member of The Cancer Prevention Global Network, and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS). She has a keen interest in raising awareness for cancer prevention and is actively involved in breast and cervical cancer screening. Apart from her dedication to the field of oncology, she has a great burden for the overall development and progress of the Naga society. She believes that a clean environment is the essence of good health and seeks to improve public cleanliness.
Dr. Thejavinuo Keditsu
An alumnus of Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) Delhi, with a Masters in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, a trained laparoscopic surgeon and reproductive endocrinologist, Thejavinuo is currently working in Nagaland. She has been in contact with women from various socio-economic backgrounds in her daily practice. Being one of the first trained colposcopists in Nagaland, she is actively involved in cervical cancer screening and treatment. She has also been counseling adolescent girls and young women about sexual health and awareness. She seeks to empower women by providing holistic treatment and educating them about their bodies, their health, their rights and their quintessential role in sustaining a society.

Dr. Pankaj Kumar Garg has trained in thoracic surgery at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Centre and Roswell Park Cancer Institute, USA. He is a fellow of Union International for Cancer Control (UICC) and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Garg is a Nodal Officer for Cancer Control at GTB Hospital, Govt. of NCT, New Delhi. He has a keen interest in research and has published more than 145 papers in various national and international journals. He is actively involved in various research projects. He is providing surgical oncology facilities at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, which caters to a large population of underserved cancer patients in Delhi and neighbouring states.

He completed his M.B.B.S from Seth G. S. Medical College, K. E. M. Hospital, Mumbai, M.D. Medicine (gold medalist) from Government Medical College & Hospital, Aurangabad, and D.M. in Medical Oncology (gold medalist) from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Dr. Karpe has also worked as a specialist registrar in clinical hematology in Sahyadri Speciality Hospital, Pune, and was a Fellow in Clinical Haematology in Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, where he contributed in establishing the Stem Cell Transplant unit. With five years of work experience in one of the largest cancer centers in Asia, Dr. Chandarana has immaculate knowledge in the field of oncology and cancer research. He has a number of publications in scientific journals and presentations in national and international scientific meetings. He has also authored 2 chapters in the Textbook of Oncology in Indian Context. He has a special interest in oncoplastic breast surgery, women’s health care and seeks to improve surgical training for young doctors.
